Senior Pastor’s Devotional
Day 11 Movement Restriction Order – “Strategic Psalm 91 Watch”

Psalm 46:10

“Be still and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen. I will be exalted in the earth.”

Is it easy to ‘be still’? If you have no problem with this, then likely you will have no problem with the current “MCO”

For most of us, we are active and we make things happen. Our busy lifestyle doesn’t give us much opportunity to know how to be still. However, now we are learning it.

Why do you think the Lord ask us to be still?

1) Be still and KNOW THAT I AM GOD!

Yes, we need to STOP all that we are doing ; step aside and see Him in action; seeing Him accomplishing His divine purposes.

Stop all you human ways, human strategies and wisdom – step aside!!

2) Being ‘still’ is a posture of RESPECT and TRUST.

We ‘behave’ in front of royalty. We show respect by being still.

Being ‘still’ also shows that we are willing to trust – not putting our hands into something that we were trying to fix by ourselves – but now “hands off” – we trust a higher hand at work!

3) Being ‘still’ grants peace and calmness to the inner person.

It is also called ‘inner peace’

When a person is calm and peaceful in his heart, he will also be calm and peaceful in his outward countenance. He will be at ‘rest.’

Let us cultivate the discipline to be “still and know that He is God!

Peace be unto all of you.
