Senior Pastor’s Devotional
Day 10 Movement Restriction Order – “Strategic Psalm 91 Watch”

Genesis 50:20

“You intended to harm me but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people.”

Joni Erickon once said, “Sometimes God allows what He hates to accomplish what He loves.”

One excellent example is “The Cross and the suffering that Jesus had to go through….” Do you think that Father God loves that? I believe God hates that but He has allowed it for the greatest good that has come out from that.

This bring us to another important question…..”Did God create the “Covid 19” and then sent it to punish the nations? We will not answer this today but do ponder over this.

Let us ask…What ‘GOOD’ can we see out of the current situation?

1. Humbled hearts.

– All across the world – people and government are brought to their knees.
– We are hearing words like, “we have sinned against God…..”
– For us as Christians – we should also be searching our hearts

Do not misunderstand spiritual activity as intimacy with God. It is entirely 2 different things altogether. Spiritual intimacy is like spending this precious hour together, praising Him and looking to Him.

Lukewarm hearts is another challenge. Holiness of heart and motive is yet another. The good of this time is that hearts are being humbled.

2. Time.

Yes, for many in the world, we have time to reflect on life and death – which we never even bothered. Now, death is staring at us and we have no choice but to think of our own mortality!

For believers, now we truly have the time to seek God; know His word; time with the family.

I hope that we won’t make the mistake to be pre occupied by other things and forget to be still and know that He is God.

Don’t allow yourself to experience “Information overload” which will trigger anxiety and fear. Have “Truth Loading” and we will be set free!

Thank God for the blessing of ‘time”.

3. Opportunity to Shine for Jesus.

– Churches everywhere are doing their bit.
-We have helped 62 families in our community around the Ikan Emas area thus far with financial contribution.
-Today, we distributed 200 chickens to the Ulu Pudu flats.

All these are the kind contribution from the believers out there.

Yes – thank the Lord for the blessing of ‘shining for Jesus’ in the darkness of the hour.

4. New Breakthroughs.

-Church breakthrough – more creative. Life Groups are also experiencing new ways of encouraging one another.
-People caring for one another.
-Medical breakthroughs.

Look out for the good – not just the bad and most importantly the voice of the Lord that wants to speak to us!

Stay home. Stay Safe. Stay Alert to His Voice!

Ps Lawrence.
