Senior Pastor’s Devotional
Day 42 Movement Control Order – “Strategic Psalm 91 Watch”

We have seen how Paul was under difficult circumstances when this book was written. He was imprisoned because of the gospel and from the natural viewpoint, his future was unclear.

The beauty of his testimony is how he expressed joy in many instances.

In these Philippians 1: 1-11, we will discover how Paul was stating his personal gratitude for this church.

a. “I thank my God every time I remember you.” – Phil. 1:2

Paul prayed with joy because of the partnership of the Philippians’ believers in bringing the gospel to the region.

But what was so memorable about Philippi?

If you turn to Acts 16:12-40, you will be able to find 4 notable things that happened in Philippi.

1. The conversion of the businesswoman by the name of Lydia. (Acts 16:14-16)

2. The deliverance of the slave girl from a spirit. (Acts 16:16-18)

3. The miracle of being freed from prison. (Acts 16:26)4. The jailer and his household accepted the Lord. (Acts 16:31-34).

Paul was recollecting all the wonderful miracles that they have done together and this brought much joy to him as well as reminded him of the power and faithfulness of God.

Is there a testimony of a victory that reminds you of God’s faithfulness? What has the Lord done in the past 40 days since the MCO?

Think of all that God has done in the past and it will encourage you

And give you the strength to face the future!

Ps Lawrence.
