Senior Pastor’s Devotional
Day 34 Movement Control Order – “Strategic Psalm 91 Watch”
Learning to listen to God as He directs us is important and helpful for us to stay in the center of His Will.
We have learned that God speaks to us through:-
1. The Bible/His Word.
2. Guidance through Circumstances.
3. The Inner Voice of the Holy Spirit.
Today, we learn that He also speaks to us through…
4. Visions.
Acts 9:10
“Now there was a believer in Damascus named Ananias. The Lord spoke to him in a vision, calling, “Ananias.”
Vision can come in the form of a “mental picture”
Example – a missionary saw the vision of an island that look like a tortoise in Malaysia and when he was pointed out the island of Penang in a map – he could bear witness that it was the vision that he saw.
5. Dreams.
Matthew 2:22
“Then in another dream, he (Joseph) was warned to go to Galilee.”
Not all dreams are from God but some dreams can be from God especially when you can sense it within your spirit.
6. Prophecy.
Acts 11:28
“One of them named Agabus stood up in one of the meetings to predict by the Spirit that a great famine was coming upon the entire Roman world.”
This can come through one of the pastors or speakers and when he prays for you, he releases a word of prophecy of what he sees you doing in the future.
It must be remembered that the Word of God is still the primary source of His ‘voice.” Vision; dreams and prophecy must not be solely relied upon to direct you. These are supplementary ways in which God may use as a confirmation towards what He may have already spoken to you.
