Day 1 Movement Restriction Order – “Strategic Psalm 91 Watch”

Fear is the main feeling that is affecting many people today – worldwide in the midst of the Covid-19.
– fear of the virus – whether we will be infected or not; how long this will last etc.
-fear of how the economy will be impacted and how it will affect you.

What does fear do to a person?

1) Fear stresses us and lower our immunity.

2) Fear causes us to act irrationally making matters worse.
– eg – panic buying that causes food to be depleted and it is not because we don’t have enough but supermarts are not fast enough to re-stock.
– Panic buying caused crowding and in turn it caused close contact with one another which may make spreading the virus easier.

3) Fear can overwhelm our faith.
-as a result, we cut off the very weapon that we need for our victory.

How do we control our fears?

1) Control fear instead of fear controlling you.
-Be very intentional to do that. Know the facts and control the inflow of negative news.
-God’s words say, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear,
but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” 2 Tim 1:7.

2) Commit all our concerns to Him in prayer.
-“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Phil. 4:6-7

The answer may not come immediately but the peace of God will!

3) Fill your mind with His positive thoughts.
“Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.” Phil. 4:8-10.
