Senior Pastor’s Devotional
Day 28 Movement Control Order – “Strategic Psalm 91 Watch”
Today, the Lord gave us a word and it is found in Exodus Chapter 23.
Exodus 23:25
“Worship the LORD your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you”
Isn’t this a wonderful promise?
However, the conditions are spelt out in verses 20-24.
Exodus 23:20 -24. “See, I am sending an angel ahead of you to guard you along the way and to bring you to the place I have prepared. Pay attention to him and listen to what he says. Do not rebel against him; he will not forgive your rebellion, since my Name is in him. If you listen carefully to what he says and do all that I say, I will be an enemy to your enemies and will oppose those who oppose you. My angel will go ahead of you and bring you into the land of the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Canaanites, Hivites and Jebusites, and I will wipe them out. Do not bow down before their gods or worship them or follow their practices. You must demolish them and break their sacred stones to pieces.
The conditions are straight forward.
*Pay attention to what the Lord is saying.
*Do not rebel.
*Demolish all the idols of our life.
His blessings will then follow.
Matthew 6:9-13 – The Lord’s Prayer.
“‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.”
As we spend one more day to slowly meditate on the Lord’s Prayer and its applications, let us ask ourselves.
1. Have you learned to pray and communicate with your Heavenly Father apart from those prayer time?
Learn to develop that natural and casual conversation that you can have anytime of the day; telling Him of your cares and concerns. This becomes the ‘unceasing prayer’ that you can have.
2. Are we ready to submit to His Will?
To believe everything – especially when HE says NO or WAIT and that we will submit and believe that God has the best for us.
As we learn to trust and submit to His Will – we will eradicate the anxiety; fear and disappointment when various things do not work out the way we have planned. We submit to Him that He has the best in store for us. This is what it means when we pray “let your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.”
3. Have we learned to live from day to day and not focus on the ‘yesterday’ or the ‘next day’s” needs?
We learn to take one step at a time, especially in uncertain time – and each step will be a miracle.
This is why the Lord taught us to pray “Give us THIS DAY our daily bread.”
