In Isaiah 60:1, the Lord commissioned that His people shall, “Arise, shine, for your light has come and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.” 

The unprecedented pandemic has impacted everyone and affected every sector globally. It has caused darkness as livelihood were seriously affected with the lockdowns.  

It has also revealed the good, the bad and the ugly side of people and governments. The good side is that we can see people rallying together to help one another. The bad part is that many could not cope and have succumbed to the virus, to depression and even suicide. Weaknesses at all levels were exposed. 

However, the most important revelation is that these are the fulfilment of the signs of the coming of our Lord as written in His Word.  

We have a choice, either to watch passively the things unfolding right before us or to respond by obedience to the Lord and doing what we can to touch lives in practical ways; to share the gospel and to become a “Light to the Nations.”
