Senior Pastor’s Devotional
Day 36 Movement Control Order – “Strategic Psalm 91 Watch”
How do we have better clarity in receiving His guidance and hearing His voice?
1. Cleansing of our lives.
Psalm 139:23
“Search me. O God, and know my heart…”
Psalms 24:3-5
“Who may ascend into the hill of the LORD?
Or who may stand in His holy place?
He who has clean hands and a pure heart,
Who has not lifted up his soul to an idol,
Nor sworn deceitfully.
He shall receive blessing from the LORD,
And righteousness from the God of his salvation.”
Part of our prayer life should be asking God to transform us and to deal with our weakness. Ensure that our live is upright and always trust that His precious blood can cleanse us from all of our shortcomings so that it will not hinder us from hearing from Him.Part of our prayer life should be asking God to transform us and to deal with our weakness. 2. Set aside.
Set aside your own ideas, sincerely submit to Him. Don’t be fixed with your ideas. Don’t come with your pre- determined plans. Pray and His ideas will flow to you instead of planning without praying.
Proverbs 3:5-6
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart. And lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths.”
3. Believe.
Believe that He is the good Shepherd who desires to lead us.He does not play hard to get but all ready to meet us.
Hebrews 11:6
“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”
4. Wait.
Wait expectantly and prayerfully on God for His direction.
Psalm 62:5
“My soul wait silently for God alone. For my expectation is from Him.”
5. Keep in step with the Spirit.
Galations 5:25
“Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.”
We keep in step with the Spirit through walking closely according to His word; regular church service; regular devotions and prayers.
The more we obey the promptings of the Spirit, the easier it is to hear His voice. The more we ignore or disobey the Spirit, the more difficult it becomes to hear Him.
Also, as we develop the close relationship with God, we will be able to recognize His voice.
John 10:27
“My sheep hear My voice and I know them and they follow Me.”
Many people will be making plans to readjust their lifestyles, business, careers, studies due to the effects of the pandemic…some may be pretty lost having no clue as to what to do.
It is time to seek Him; hear from Him!
