“…..perfect through suffering.”
Heb. 2:10
The below are interesting observations.
Steel is the product of iron plus (+) fire. Soil is rock plus heat and crushing. Diamond is pressure plus heat.
In the same way, the development of our character requires a ‘plus’ (+) attached to it, for greater character is made NOT through luxurious or easy living but many times it is through challenges, problems and suffering.
Someday, God is going to reveal this fact to every Christian: the very things we now rebel or reject are the very instruments He has used to perfect our character and to mold us into Christ likeness, so we may later be like polished stones in His heaven yet to come.
Challenges, problems and suffering are wonderful ‘fertilizers’ for the roots of character. The great objective of this life is character, for it is the only thing we can carry with us into eternity. And gaining as much of the highest character possible is the purpose of our trials.
You can always count on God to make the purpose of difficulties a thousand times richer and better than the present, if we cope or overcome them correctly. “No discipline seems pleasant at the time….Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace.” (Heb. 12:11)
What is your situation like? I pray that the Lord will give you the right understanding and perception of it and that either He will help you to solve it or that He will give you the grace to go through it as you go through the “mill that refines.”
