Senior Pastor’s Devotional
Day 88 Movement Control Order – “Strategic Psalm 91 Watch”

“But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life and only a few find it.”
Matthew 7:14

The Believer’s journey of life is likened to walking on a narrow road. What does this mean? There are things that we will need to give up (which is good for your life) and there are adversities that you may have to face, like for example, persecutions; rejection; living up to your testimony, among other things.

How do we ‘walk through this narrow road?”

1. God’s Word is the lamp to our feet and the light to our path (Ps 119:105). It is also the spiritual food that sustain us as Jesus said, “Man shall not live by bread alone but by every Word that proceeds out from the mouth of God.” You have tasted the peace that comes from His Word during the MCO. The Word will guide us through successfully.

2. God’s people are not led by our soul (emotions). They are led by the Spirit. It is easy to be excited (emotion) in the beginning when something is new and sounds promising but the ones who cross the finish line are the ones who hang in there when the excitement is gone.

3. When I face a situation and when it seems that no one is able to help me – that is the moment where I will get to know Jesus really well. It is the time where you really ‘draw from Him” and learn about spiritual intimacy – because it is the time between you and Him!

4. Be secured of your eternity – that is, eternal life through Jesus Christ.
During the Covid 19 pandemic in Italy 2 months ago, an elderly Italian pastor who was infected and hospitalized asked that the ventilator to be given to a younger patient as he has no worry about himself!

Are you walking the narrow road now? The Good Shepherd is holding your hand!

Ps Lawrence.
