Ms. Avis Ng
B.Sc., MA, Registered & Licensed Counsellor (Malaysia, KB-06250, PA-05691)

Avis Ng is a Licenced Counsellor, Dean of Counselling Studies of Bible College of Malaysia and a mother of two. Avis sees life as a constant pursuit of adding values to others around her.

She comes with 7 years of clinical experience in providing counselling to children and family; seeing clients facing anxiety, depression, PTSD and family issues. Avis also facilitates stress-management and mental health workshop with corporations, universities as well as churches in the Klang Valley. Currently Avis is undergoing her PhD in Clinical Christian Counselling at Asia Graduate School of Theology, Philippines.

  • In this course you will learn practical ways to build resilience in the mind and to attend to the emotional wellness for yourself and others in challenging times 

**This course is conducted under BCM’s CCLD Program.  This new certificate programme is based on the completion of 10 seminars, no exam and assignment.**

Objectives:

  1. What is mental health, mental wellbeing & mental illness.
  2. Addressing the importance of mental health for self and others.
  3. Assessment on current mental health.
  4. Provide practical skills on managing day to day stressors living with the pandemic.
  5. Utilize engaging and experiential online learning approach to convey the topic.
  6. Introducing grounding techniques and anxiety management tools
  7. Differentiating control vs not under control.
  8. Provide avenues for participants to seek help where necessary.
